What equipment should be used to clean your carpet?
It is very important to make the carpet drying time after extraction as short as possible.
This is not only to reduce customer inconvenience but to prevent carpet damages, bad smelling mildew, mold, etc.
A truck mounted extraction machine should be used instead of portable units. The bigger the extraction machine, the more suction power and less drying time
              Beware of portable equipment!
For example, the biggest portable extractors use home electricity which is no more than 20 Amperes at 120 Volts with a 2,400 Watt maximum. One horse power equals 889 watts. So the maximum power that could be produced is no more then 2.7hp. The result will be 24-72 hours of drying time, which can lead to extensive carpet damages.
SteamMaster uses Everest HP 46hp (equal to 40,894 Watts) truckmouted extraction machine which will lead to a carpet drying time of 2-4hours.
Most companies use a 20hp (equal to 17,780 Watts) small size truckmounted machine, which extends the drying time to10-16hours.
